Acacia is an ideal wood for the kitchen and your home. Its inherent density makes it resistant to germs and bacteria. This wooden chopping board is functional and owing to the rich colours and beautiful texture it looks well design and decorative. Acacia is a real hard wood loaded with natural oils that gives it a pure water resistance. Bamboo on the other hand resists water on account of the density of the wood rather than oils, which mean knives, will dull faster on bamboo vs. acacia woods. Thus wear and tear is minimized on both the knives and onto the Cutting board. To clean, just wash in luke warm soapy water and towel dry. Do not allow the chopping board to soak in water. Rub with olive or vegetable oil to keep wood from drying out and cracking.
